Samos, one of the Greek islands closest to the Turkish coast, is located in the eastern Aegean Sea. The island, situated approximately 1.6 km from the district of Kuşadası in Aydın, stands out for its lush nature, crystal-clear coves, historical heritage, and tranquil atmosphere.
The island covers an area of approximately 477 km² and has a population of about 32,000. Its capital is Vathy (Samos Town), and among its most touristy areas are Pythagoreio, Kokkari, and Karlovasi.
History
Samos is one of the most important settlements of antiquity. The world-renowned mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras was born on this island. Additionally, the philosopher Epicurus was also a native of Samos. During ancient times, the island held great importance as a powerful center of maritime trade.

Day 1 | Departure from Kuşadası – Vathy Exploration
We meet at Kuşadası Port (Scala Nuova) at 07:30 in the morning. After completing our passport procedures, we depart by fast ferry at 08:30 and arrive at the central port of Samos Island, Vathy Harbor, after approximately 45 minutes of enjoyable sea travel. On some dates, our guide will welcome you at Samos Port to join the tour from there.
(Guests joining from Seferihisar will be met by our guide at Samos Port.)
To expedite the visa-on-arrival process for guests who require it, we recommend sitting near the entrance on the ferry.
Our check-in time at the hotels is 15:00, though early check-in may be possible depending on room availability.
In the afternoon, we meet at 16:00 at the location specified by our guide and begin exploring Vathy with our guide. During our approximately one-and-a-half-hour walking tour, we start discovering Vathy. Throughout this enjoyable walk, our guide shares information about the island's rich history, daily life culture, local lifestyle, charming cafes, delicious restaurants, and entertainment spots. As we wander through narrow streets, we get up close with both the past and the present spirit of Samos.
During our walk, we see the island's only Catholic Church, which is currently abandoned. With its silence and mystical atmosphere, this building stands out as one of our special stops that sheds light on the island's multicultural past.
Next, we reach Lion Square, considered the heart of the city and Samos' oldest and still actively used town square. Here, we view the lion statue that symbolizes the square and explore the historic fabric around it. The Municipal Building and the Archaeological Museum, located around the square, are included in our tour as structures carrying significant traces of the island's history.
In the final part of our tour, we conclude at the monument of Themistoklis Sofoulis, an important figure in modern Greek history and known as Samos' first President. At this meaningful spot, we take commemorative photos and imprint Vathy's atmosphere, where history and culture intertwine, into our memories.
During your remaining free time, you can sit at cafes overlooking Vathy, take a walk along the coast, or simply enjoy the sea.
In the evening, one of the most authentic experiences reflecting the soul of the island awaits you. In our Extra Taverna Night program, we enjoy ourselves in a pleasant atmosphere accompanied by live Greek music. The menu served during the night includes unlimited ouzo and wine. Guests wishing to continue the evening's festivities at different venues can request recommendations from our guide.

Day 2 | Big Island Tour
After having breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we meet at the port at 09:30 and set off to explore the island. During our tour, we first view the Vathy area panoramically to gain general information about the island's layout.
Then we turn our route towards Kokari, one of the most photogenic spots on the island. After our guide provides a panoramic tour and information about the area, free time is offered here. Guests who wish can enjoy the turquoise sea, take a walk along the beach, or capture wonderful photos against postcard-worthy backdrops.
Our next stop is Pythagorion, known as the birthplace of the famous mathematician Pythagoras. We tour this enchanting area with its historical texture and seaside atmosphere under the guidance of our guide; we learn about Samos Castle, the Transfiguration Church, and the famous Blue Street. After a short walk in the harbor area, we take a photo break in front of the Pythagoras Monument.
Next, free time is provided for a pleasant lunch break by the seaside at some of the region's most popular restaurants. You have the opportunity to try fresh seafood and flavors of Greek cuisine.
On the way back, we make a short shopping break at Lidl, one of Europe's largest supermarket chains. Here you can find both affordable products and local treats.

Day 3 | Samos – Return to Kuşadası

After our morning breakfast, we check out of our rooms. You can leave your luggage at the hotel and enjoy the final moments on the island until the ferry departure time.
An Optional Private Boat Tour is organized for guests who wish to experience an unforgettable adventure. Departing from Vathy Port, aboard our boat with a maximum capacity of 20 people, we enjoy a pleasant 4-hour blue voyage, stopping for swimming breaks in coves inaccessible by land.
At the return time, we meet at the port and line up for passport control. After completing passport procedures and free shop shopping, we board the ferry and arrive in Kuşadası after approximately 45 minutes of travel.
