Meis Island Day Trip | Tuesway Travel
In the early morning hours, we pick up our valued guests from designated stops and set off for our Meis Island Day Trip. Following the enchanting coastal road of the Mediterranean, we arrive at Kaş Port and disembark from our tour vehicle.
After completing passport procedures at the Kaş Customs Gate, we board our ferry at 09:30 and head towards Meis Island on a pleasant journey of approximately 20 minutes.
As we approach this charming island, also known as "Kastellorizo" in Greece, its 10 km² area and historical character welcome us. Meis Island is famous for its warm hospitality and offers an atmosphere where you will feel right at home.
Places to Visit on Meis Island
Upon arrival, Castelrosso Castle, glowing with red stones illuminated by the morning sun, catches our attention. Guided by our guide, we begin exploring the island's historical and cultural sites.
Guests who wish can join the guided walking tour with our guide, while others may choose to spend their free time individually.

Return and Arrival in Antalya
Our return ferry departs from Meis Island at 16:00. We offer a short free time here for Duty Free shopping.
Upon arrival at Kaş Port, after completing passport procedures, following our guide's brief introduction to Kaş, we provide free time for our guests. Those who wish can shop in Kaş bazaar, while others can relax by the seaside.
After concluding the day with pleasure, we begin our evening journey back to Antalya. We drop off our valued guests at their pickup points and bid farewell, hoping to see you again at another Tuesway Travel event.

Transit to Meis Island with Visa on Arrival
What Are the Requirements and Program for Visa on Arrival?
The visa on arrival program is an application that facilitates Greek visa procedures for visits to the Greek islands included in this program by citizens of the Republic of Turkey. Citizens of the Republic of Turkey must have a passport valid for at least six months from the travel date and at least 2 blank pages in their passports.
In the visa on arrival application, you are only allowed to exit from the island where you entered; moving from one island to another is not possible.
What is the scope of the Visa on Arrival Program?
The visa on arrival issued by the competent Greek authorities is not a Schengen visa but is a single-entry Greek visa valid for a maximum of 7 days specifically for the Greek island to be visited.
How many days does the visa process take under the Visa on Arrival Program?
It takes 5 days(*) to obtain a visa on arrival. The documents listed below must be delivered to us personally, via cargo, or by post at least 5 days(*) before your travel date.
What is the validity date of the Visa on Arrival Program application?
The visa on arrival application for Meis Island has been in effect since May 20, 2024. Up-to-date information regarding the end date of the application will be provided.
Documents Required for Visa on Arrival:
- Citizens of the Republic of Turkey applying for the visa on arrival program must submit the following documents to our address on our contact page personally, by post, or via cargo at least 5 days(*) before the travel date.
- Photocopy of the photo page of the passport valid for at least 6 months
- The passport must not contain an entry stamp from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)
- Two recent 4x6 biometric photographs (white background) (Photos should not be pasted)
- The application form must be filled out electronically, printed, and signed.
- A separate visa application form must be completed for children and infants.
- Hotel reservation confirmation – guests staying for 1 or 2 nights must obtain and submit their reservation printouts to us. (For day trips, hotel reservations are not required.) A confirmed hotel reservation form (the names of individuals obtaining the visa on arrival must appear on the voucher).
- If someone else is sponsoring your trip, a wet-signed expense coverage form must be filled out.
- Round-trip ferry ticket
- Travel insurance covering your vacation period (in English)
- For round-trip day applications, a bank statement showing a minimum of €350 in the current bank account is required.
- For round-trip applications with accommodation, a bank statement showing a minimum of €500 per day in the current bank account is required.
- Visa Fee (must be sent along with the documents in an envelope)
Important Notes:
- Hotel reservations are not requested for day trips.
- There is a daily limit of 6 persons in the visa on arrival application.
- Round-trip ferry tickets must be purchased from our company.
- The visa on arrival fee per person (age 12 and above) is 100 Euro / 30 Euro for ages 0-3 / 65 Euro for children aged 3–11.99 years.
- Turkish citizens whose passports contain entry/exit stamps from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) are not permitted entry into Greece by Greek official authorities. Passengers acknowledge and accept that if they attempt to travel despite having a TRNC stamp in their passport, they will personally pay any fines imposed by Greek authorities.
- Under the Visa on Arrival Program, fingerprints are taken from every passenger by Greek passport police upon entry into Greece. According to information obtained from Greek official authorities, there is a minimum waiting time of 30 minutes after fingerprinting, which can extend to 1-2 hours depending on passenger congestion. Therefore, our company is not responsible for any delays that may occur due to fingerprinting upon entry into Greece.
- Guests traveling to Greece with a Visa on Arrival declare and undertake that they accept these delays in advance.
- If your previous Schengen application was rejected; a Greek islands visa on arrival application will not be accepted.
